THE ENRICHMENT PROGRAM
This Saturday program builds a solid technical foundation in dance. Ballet technique is stressed while students are exposed to a variety of other movement styles.
INTRODUCTION TO BALLET
A pre-requisite for Ballet Fundamentals, this class is a formal introduction to ballet technique for students with some previous dance experience. Vocabulary is taught slowly, developed in simple barre exercises, and students are taught to transfer the basic skills to simple movement phrases.
Age: 8 - 11
BALLET FUNDAMENTALS
This beginner technique class places strict attention on alignment and placement of the body. Students develop strength, coordination of arms and legs, and learn proper execution of ballet technique and movement.
BALLET I, Level I
This class is designed for students who have knowledge of the basic ballet vocabulary and can exhibit proper turn-out and carriage of the torso. This technical training builds memory recall, strengthens the ballet vocabulary, develops clarity of line and prepares students to proceed to the next level of study.

GESTURES BALLET II, LEVEL I
This level II class designed for students to develop speed and control of movement while expanding their knowledge of the ballet vocabulary. Dancers take on extended, complex movement phrases, while continuing to develop strength and technique.
MODERN FUNDAMENTALS
Students explore the concepts of space, time, energy and dynamics through pure movement. The emphasis of this class is to maintain the creative spirit through self exploration while developing style, technique, and performance presentation.

MODERN I, Level I
This class broadens a student's movement experience with the exploration, development and execution of contemporary movement from diverse techniques and style.

MODERN II, Horton Based
This class teaches the technique of Lester Horton, while developing an understanding of the anatomy and the musculature of the body.
Day: Saturday
MUSICAL THEATER DANCE
This class introduces students to basic vocabulary of the Broadway dance number. Students will learn the qualitative elements that help an actor or beginning dancer move with ease and presence on stage. Basic warm-up and stretching exercises develop coordination, while "across the floor" and "center movement combinations" provide a full body workout that improves body awareness.

JAZZ FUNDAMENTALS
This fun filled class is for the beginner student with some previous dance training, or the student who has completed the Dance Exposure Program and Introduction to Ballet. Learning basic jazz terminology, vocabulary and style enables the student to explore various dimensions and dynamics of movement while increasing strength, stamina and flexibility.

JAZZ I, Level I
This energetic class provides continued study for students to develop in the jazz style. More complicated warm-ups, isolations, jumps, floor progressions and movement phrases enables the body to adapt quickly to various styles.
JAZZ II
This class is geared for the serious-minded student looking to excel at jazz technique. Study includes movement quality, musicality, progressions and jump sequences that challenge students to become competent in diverse movement styles. Students practice body isolations to fine tune the eyes and body.

BASIC TAP
This beginner class introduces basic tap vocabulary, the technique behind the steps and the "glorious" sound of tap.
Age: 8 - 11
TEEN TAP
Children 12 and older learn basic tap vocabulary and the technique, behind the fundamental steps. Quickly students begin exploring the style of tap, and learning movement phrases.
Age: 12 & older
TAP FUNK I
This class is for those students who have mastered the fundamentals of basic tap and want to go further in their study. Placing the focus on clarity of sound, the introduction of simple combinations and improvisations, students develop their own personal style of expression.

TAP II
Tap study continues with the exploration of complex rhythms, increased speed and longer, more complicated movement patterns.

TAP WORKSHOP
Designed as a lab for the advanced tapper, this class will teach students to use their feet as musical instruments. Students work closely with the instructor to learn intricate footwork and create movement phrases.

BOYS FITNESS & DANCE
This class seeks boys ready to embark on an athletic dance experience. Under the guidance of a professional dancer and personal trainer, boys will explore the shared physical aspects of dance and athletics while developing strength, stamina, endurance and ease of movement.
Age: 9 -12
STUDIO SPACE RENTAL AVAILABLE
Open 7 days a week from 9:00 am until 11:00 pm
Studios are appropriate for classes, workshops, rehearsals and auditions equipped with pianos and mirrors, changing rooms and equity approved dance floors.
